Eleven years ago, when I first took office as your Clark County Clerk, I found a wedding industry in steady decline. Twenty consecutive years of falling license numbers. A community whose most iconic identity — the Wedding Capital of the World — was quietly fading.
We got to work.
Today, the Clark County Clerk’s Office supports $2.6 billion in annual economic activity, generates $2.5 million per year for domestic violence prevention, has earned over 150 million media impressions for Las Vegas weddings, and reversed that 20-year decline.
We honored our 5 millionth love story. We built WEDDINGS.VEGAS. We brought the world to Las Vegas — and Las Vegas to the world.
