Some people running to replace me don’t seem to know about the office. During my tenure one of my key goals was to expand constituent service. Under my leadership, the Clark County Clerk’s Office now has five locations (state law limits us to five branch offices) where constituents can access our services:
- Marriage License Bureau — 201 E. Clark Avenue, Las Vegas. Open 8 a.m. to midnight, 365 days a year, including every holiday, no exceptions.
- Customer Service Counter, 1st Floor Government Center —500 S. Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas, Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; (closed Fridays and all legal holidays)
- Henderson — Henderson City Hall, 240 S. Water Street. Open Monday through Thursday.
- Laughlin — Laughlin County Government Center. Open Thursdays and Fridays.
- Mesquite County Building — 10 E. Mesquite Blvd. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays.
We also operate a pop-up Marriage License Bureau at the airport around Valentine’s Day each year — because love doesn’t wait for business hours.
And we didn’t stop there. We introduced self-service kiosks at the main bureau so couples can purchase certified copies of their marriage certificate quickly and conveniently, without waiting in line.
Some who run for office may not be aware of what this office has already built. Let’s get the word out so everyone knows. I know this office. I’ve worked hard to make it into what it is today. And I’m asking for your vote to keep moving us forward.
