Clark County offers multiple places to vote

Make a Voting Plan for 1st Tuesday in November

I have spent 11 years serving every resident of Clark County — and I am asking for your vote.

If you haven’t voted in the past or haven’t voted recently, make sure you have a plan to vote.

What to Expect When you Get to the Voting Site. New voters will need to bring government identification to the voting site to verify their identity before voting. If you have already been verified becauses you have voted in the past, you will need to sign in and your signature will be compared with the signature on file. If your signature does not seem to match, you will be asked to present valid ID.

EVERY voter must sign in. The county database is uploaded immediately and if someone has signed in for you already, you will not be allowed to vote. This prevents anyone from voting more than one time or from voting for someone else.

Make a Voting Plan. Will you vote early, vote by mail or vote in person on election day? Plan ahead. If registered, you will receive a sample ballot and a later ballot that may be used for mail-in voting.  You are allowed to mark up your ballot. Prepare to vote by doing your research. A great way is to call your friends together to go over your ballot. Talk with your friends, together attend a political (no matter your party) or advocacy club such as the Sierra Club and do research online. Local publications (the Nevada Independent, Review-Journal and the Sun publish voter guides) do extensive research on who is running for office.

Once your ballot is filled out, you may take it with you into the voting booth.

Clark County has voting centers, so you can vote in any voting center that is convenient for you. If you are voting in person and you are using your mail ballot, you will have to turn it in after voting.

Vote early. You may vote at any voting center site. the sites are all listed on your ballots, but can also be found here.

Vote by mail. Voters may drop off their ballot at designated sites or use the U.S. postal service. I recommend dropping the ballot off at least four days ease the number of days after election day required to count mail-in votes.

Vote on election day. Voting day hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  You may vote after 7 p.m. ONLY if you were already in line by 7 p.m.

  • Early voting: October 17 through October 30
  • Same Day Registration: October 21 to November 3
  • General Election Day: Tuesday, November 3

Whatever your voting plan, I am asking for your vote: Lynn Marie Goya, for Clark County Clerk.
